Neighbourhood plans in development

These areas have all had a neighbourhood area designated and are developing their neighbourhood plans.

Ascott under Wychwood

Ascott Under Wychwood Parish Council applied to us on 24 September 2020 for the designation of Ascott Under Wychwood Neighbourhood Area. To include the whole area of Ascott Under Wychwood Parish and an area of land within Shipton Under Wychwood Parish.

As the proposed Neighbourhood Area deviated from the Ascott Under Wychwood Parish boundary we held a six week consultation from 7 October 2020 to 18 November 2020.

The outcome of the consultation was presented in the Cabinet Report which can be downloaded. The Cabinet formally decided to designate the Ascott Under Wychwood Neighbourhood Area as proposed on 13 January 2021.

Brize Norton

Brize Norton Parish Council is responsible for the development of a Neighbourhood Plan for the Parish of Brize Norton. The Neighbourhood Area was designated on 8 May 2017. Under the Neighbourhood Planning (Amendment) Regulations 2016, the proposal qualified for designation without consultation or decision from West Oxfordshire District Council.

Ducklington

Ducklington Parish Council is responsible for the development of a Neighbourhood Plan for the Parish of Ducklington. The Neighbourhood Area was designated on 10 March 2023. Under the Neighbourhood Planning (Amendment) Regulations 2016, the proposal qualified for designation without consultation or decision from West Oxfordshire District Council.

North Leigh

North Leigh Parish Council is responsible for the development of a Neighbourhood Plan for the Parish of North Leigh. The Neighbourhood Area to which the Plan relates covers the Parish of North Leigh and was designated on 10 May 2022. Under the Neighbourhood Planning (Amendment) Regulations 2016, the proposal qualified for designation without consultation or decision from West Oxfordshire District Council.

Stonesfield

Stonesfield Parish Council is responsible for the development of a Neighbourhood Plan for the Parish of Stonesfield. The Neighbourhood Area to which the Plan relates covers the Parish of Stonesfield and was designated on 17 November 2021. Under the Neighbourhood Planning (Amendment) Regulations 2016, the proposal qualified for designation without consultation or decision from West Oxfordshire District Council.

Wootton by Woodstock

Wootton Parish Council is responsible for the development of a Neighbourhood Plan for the Parish of Wootton. The Neighbourhood Area to which the Plan relates covers the Parish of Wootton and was designated on 14 July 2023. Under the Neighbourhood Planning (Amendment) Regulations 2016, the proposal qualified for designation without consultation or decision from West Oxfordshire District Council.
