Disabled parking bays and Shopmobility
There are designated disabled parking bays in most of our car parks. These are free with no time limit for valid disabled badge holders, badges must be clearly shown at all times. You can report any blue badge misuse on the Oxfordshire County Council website.
There is a Shopmobility Scheme that is run from the Woolgate Centre Car Park, at Langdale Gate.
Motorcycle parking
Motorcycles can park free of charge within our car parks. If there is a designated bay you should park in these bays, if not then you can park in any other bay except bays designated for Blue Badge Holders.

Motorhome parking
There are no designated motorhome spaces in our off street car parks. Height restrictions are in place in Marriotts Walk multi story car park and Woodford Way car park. No camping or overnight camping is permitted.
Parking regulations
Our civil enforcement officers monitor the use of car parks. The usual hours of enforcement are between 8am and 6pm, however on occasions we will carry out evening patrols. They check that:
- time limits are not exceeded between 8am and 6pm
- parking places are used correctly and vehicles are parked within marked bays
- disabled parking and parent and child bays are not misused
- there is no unauthorised trading
- valid parking permits are displayed
- there is no parking on double yellow lines
- vehicles do not exceed the 3500kg weight limit
Gritting
We grit our council owned car parks as and when needed.
Oxfordshire County Council are responsible for gritting roads and major shopping areas.
